Masking a search Field

Hi,


I am using visual basic 2010 express.


I have made a search field using the quarry builder and I am trying to mask the search box field.


I know how to use the data-set and the properties window to mask a field example...
Phone Number: ( ) - Search Phone Number


I don't see an option in the properties window of the search field to set a mask.


Do I have to use code for this? If so could someone explain the code in a way a beginner could understand?
