Question Log4Net tutorial?

I would like to log errors into database. I googled and found out log4net. Is there any tutorial which explains how to do this?

I found out how to use appenders. Actually i am using both Adonet (DB) and Smtp (email) appenders. They are successfully written to the table but there is NO email coming! Any help please? I changed buffer size to 1, 512 but no emails.What should i do to make it send emails?
