localization

I just have developed an application with VB.net with language localize function.

i have perfect operation of my software on english window xp, but when i installed it on a chinese windows xp computer, i found that all my component size has been enlarge. do someone encounter this problem before and any idea on how to solved it?

it seems the problem is cause by the default font (MS san serif) used by Visual Studio.net. After i changed the font to Arial, the problem was rectified, but i don't know the reason behind
