ROLE: Support Developer P1

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create technical design deliverables from a requirements document, technical design and coding. Responsibilities also include unit testing, integration and system testing of assigned modules. Also performs software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities. Individual must be involved in all phases of the development process.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

  • Responsible for providing Tier-3 support for applications, systems and IT products required to enable the business objectives.
  • This position will be responsible for support efforts related to OptiFreight’s custom software environment.
  • The candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Performs application break/fix and small enhancement work • Utilizes an IT case management tool to manage work, responds directly to internal customers regarding routine requests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues, proposing technical solutions, completing appropriate coding or data updates, testing solution with business users, and deploys and monitors solution
  • Serves as a credible resource to others; answers basic questions pertaining to a specific area of expertise
  • Comprehends and strives to achieve goals by working with team members and performing assigned tasks
  • Brainstorms with others to produce practical plans that achieve established objectives; asks questions to ensure understanding
  • Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices; leverages expertise to produce solutions that enable global consistency and standardization and facilitate exceptional performance.


SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Strong written communication skills, with an ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.
  • Strong technical skills in .Net, C#, SQL Server 2008 (Reporting Services, queries, stored procedures, views, analysis and tuning), AJAX, WebServices, WCF, and SOA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and has strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Possess good organizational skills.
Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions.
