I'm wondering if it's yet a good time to delve into WCF/WPF/LINQ etc or is it, like when I upgraded to 2005 very early on and had lots of questions that noone seemed to have the answer for, the case that you often hit bumps and problems that you spend an inordinate amount of time overcoming simply because noone else out there knows the answers yet?

Me? I just installed the Express when it was released to try things out, which I haven't done much of yet.

I doesn't hurt to install it since the different VS versions runs side-by-side. VB 2008 also has the benefit that you can configure a project to target for example .Net 2.0, so you can work with current projects in the new IDE without moving to new grounds yet.

I've had some crashes (global OS system freeze) but not been able to indentify the cause, I have a suspicion about this happening when I have both VB 2005 and 2008 running at the same time (, perhaps in conjunction with the Help windows?).
