Inherited controls.

Hello, I hope to explain this correctly.
I have an baseform.
I has a few controls on it, as well as about 3000 lines of code.
One of the controls that is on this form is a panel, which I need to add controls to, primarily input controls and their labels.
But, I am not able to add anything to that panel because it is a inherited control.
Does anyone know how to add a control to an inherited panel?

Change the "Modifiers" property of the panel in the baseForm from the default "Friend" to "Public".
