Increase Mysql Connection speed

I have a database which is having 3*100,000 rows. When i try to fetch a specific rows it is taking 1 minute.

How can i improve the speed of fetching the rows.

There's no way for us to know how you can do things better if we don't know how you're doing things currently.

Usually indexing helps a lot but as jmcilhinney told you, it'd be much better if you post the select query. It could be poor design of your database, indexing, db normalization etc.
