Situation: As more and more video games in this day and age, allow for
people to edit and modify their interface, one thing seems to
continually be missing, a clock.
I have thought of a way to make this an easy addition to any program
running in fullscreen mode. Video Overlay!.
Currently if you set up a window on your interface, and have the
background color set to the right values, you can get video from a
media player type program to display through to the overlay on the
games interface. GREAT Picture in a picture.
Proposal: to create a small VB.NET project that will display the
systems time, on an overlay.
the window could be customizable in the way of display format (12 / 24
hour), and Scalable.
Sadly I don't know if this is possible, or even where to start, my
skills in VB aren't that great. Most of what i know is basic CIS 101
stuff.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I could see something like this being useful for many things not just
games.
