Every since I installed the PowerToys (which are mainly useless I find) the appearance of multiple EventToaster icons in the systray has been of minor irritation. I found the following info ona blog, about how to hide the icon by removing the package entry for EventToaster from the registry; given that I never use ET anyway, i wasnt concerned by deleteing the following registry key:
HLKM\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\Packages\{139f0cf3-9b20-44cc-861c-420d7a396b57}
If you, like me, want to remove the icon but leave other PowerToys installed, then you can do the same
