How to set shortcut target to .exe file?

I'm using the setup wizard and trying to deploy a sample application. I'm creating shortcuts in the User's Desktop and in the User's Programs Menu. How do I get the shortcut to specifically open the .exe file. I can set the shortcut target to the Application Folder, which only contains the Primary Output file. But after installing the program, the shortcut only opens the folder that the .exe file is located in. How do you set the target to the .exe file?

You have to set the shortcut to the 'primary output from ...... file', then when installed it will run the .exe
