How to hide a process in Task Manager?

Hi all,
One of my friends told me that when he installed a key logger application and when a particular combination of keys is pressed the key logger application is set to stealth mode. That is, it is removed(hides) from the task manager and we can't find any trace of that application but still the application is running. How can I set a process from not being displayed in the task manager?. Due to curiosity I'm asking this question. Thanks in advance.

May be set the main form's property "ShowInTaskbar" to false will do?
