Question How to Export Crystal Report to Text file

Hi All,

I am using VB.NET 2005 and crystal report that comes along with it, here I am trying to export crystal report to text file.
I am able to export the same in PDF, Word and Excel, but I am clueless about exporting it to Text file
It would be very helpful if anyone could tell me how to export crystal report to text file.

According to the documentation I have, Bischof's book, you can export to Excel, Word, PDF, HTML, and RTF format. If you need text only, the RTF format is probably your best bet and then strip out the Rich Text formatting.

A similar option would be to export to HTML and then strip out the html codes. With a quick DAGS if found this;

Using those two together you could export to HTML and then strip the tags.

We'd need to know more about your report to really see what would work best.
