Help packaging a program

Hello,

I am fairly new to VB.Net. I have developed a program for banking, but I do not know how to package it and make it an accessible icon on my desktop so I don't have to open .net every time I want to use it. I am using Vb.net 2005 Express edition. Any information on how to load this into a file that will reside on my desktop would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to Publish page of Project properties and click the "Publish now" button. You could check different options there if you want and/or click the "wizard" button, but I think the default settings will work. A folder with the published installation files should pop up where you can doubleclick one of them to start the application setup which is also basically a one-click operation.
