Help Getting Network...

I am New Visual basic.net.

I am Trying to Create a Program that Can Get Information about a Network server. eg IP address and as Much information as Possible. Is this Possible to Make with Visual basic.net? If it is Can Please Someone Help me Get Started on the project.
