What is new in this release?
The latest version of Aspose.BarCode for .NET5.6.0 has been released. We are pleased to announce that in this major release we have added support for generating and recognizing barcodes on Windows 8 RT . You can now generate and recognize the GS1Code128, GS1DataMatrix, ISSN, ISBN, ISMN symbologies. This release also includes the most recent bug fixes and improved barcode symbology support. Below is the list of new and improved features supported in this version
- Aspose.BarCode supports for Windows 8 RT
- Datamatrix barcode now properly recognized by some barcode readers
- Datamatrix barcodes recognition is improved
- Code128 barcode now correctly recognized from the image
- Multiple datamatrix and aztec barcodes are now recognized properly
- DataMatrix barcode reading is improved
- Enhanced Recognition of QR from Pdf
- Aztec barcode is now recognized in jpg image
- DataMatrix Barcode is now recognized in jpg image
- Check UPCE recognition for test images (UPC-E.gif, upc-e1.gif)
- Incorrect code39 barcode recognition in JPG image is fixed
- Recognition of PDF417 barcodes from jpg and tif image files is enhanced
- ScanStrength and Threshold enum recognition hints
- Error message is fixed when tried to add BarCodeControl (.NET 4 Client Profile)
- Enhanced adding BarCodeControl in the toolbox (Windows 8 - .NET4 CP)
- Extra barcodes recognition is fixed
- First zero digit is lost for EAN13 type when data starts with 00
QR code - Structure Append mode
- Recognized text is corrected from big DataMatrix
- Unable to recognize QR codes from JPG or Tiff file formats is fixed
- Windows 8 WinForms Encoding bug is resolved
- Encoded number of bytes are different from decoded number of bytes is fixed

Aspose.BarCode is a .NET component for generation and recognition of Linear and 2D barcodes on all kinds of .NET applications. It supports WPF with 29+ Barcode symbologies like OneCode, QR, Aztec, MSI, EAN128, EAN14, SSCC18, Code128, Code39, Postnet, MarcoPDF417, Datamatrix, UPCA etc. Other features include barcode insertion in PDF, Word and Excel documents. Also take image output in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and WMF formats. You can also control image styles such as background color, bar color etc.
