From serial port data to db not decimal value

Hi! When I'm receiving data from serial port the output is like these: 0.00023 but when I inputted it into db the number becomes 23
in the db, I validated it as varchar.

If it's not working then you did it wrong. If you're not going to show us what you did then how can we possibly tell you what's wrong with it?
