And what type of computing are you interested in, this way we might be able to give you a better idea of what you could do. But you really should have some ideas of your own

We do have some ideas but our instructor said that they are not so good to be taken as final project.
BCS stands for "Bachelor of Computer Sciences" and We need ideas for web applications.

a website for handhelds with data transfer and signature collection for touch screen
and also you can interface some scanner based inventory management system

Here's the kill or cure method:
Tell you instructor you going to create a virutal strip club, he's either:

1. (if he's a perv.) Will give you an A right there and then. (cure)
2. Deside your outher ideas where great. (cure)
3. Kick you out of school (Kill, although you wouldn't have to do your project any more - so I guess that would also be a cure...)
