External Interface to AS3

hello... how can i transfer such data from VB.NET to AS3(Flash) "SetVariable" is not working anymore in AS3(Action Script 3) so it's better by the developers to use "External Interface" method in Flash but i don't know how to use that method. Any help... Even simple transfer value...
