Exe file without VB.net

If I'd make a program, and I'd like to run this program on another pc without having to install vb.net, how should I do this?
I have vs.net in school but we didn't see stuff like this.

The thing is, I made a program for my dad's company, program which sorts excel files etc... (not important), but off course I just want to give him the program without having him install vs.net (which is pretty large).

VB.Net must have the .Net Framework installed to work. I'd suggest burning the framework to a CD and distributing it that way.

agree with TPM
and more I want to talk about is that if u do some database operations , I may also install MDAC(Microsoft Data Access Comp.) , or u will find that u can't use ur database based functions

i usually just stick with the compact framework for all the systems (except my devolpment system) to run my vb.net apps

the compact framework is ~23MB located here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

the full framework is ~185MB found only on cd as far as i know
