Embedded Excel Spreadsheet - Freezing Columns

For a program I'm writing I need to embed an Excel spreedsheet. Now I have the sheet and I use it and all that but I dont know to freeze a column! It's not essential but it makes a lot of difference usabilitywise since there can be innumerable columns.

How on earth can columns be frozen? I've done it with datagrids and a bunch of other components but never with this COM before. Any ideas?
