Drag and drop with auto scroll

Iam trying to implement drag and drop using labels, when the label is to be dropped in location not currently visible auto scrolling should happen.
Any ideas how to go about it.

You would need to detect when the mouse pointer is within a threshold value of the edge and, in that case, scroll the container.

i understand that but where the scroll code should come...
if i keep it in the target lable dragover event it is never executed....
