Hi,
I have developed a windows service with a systray icon that activates a windows application. The service works perfectly in windows xp and windows vista. However, when I deploy the service on a server running windows server 2003, the service does not work. It does all the background tasks and everything, just that it does not display any of the GUI (windows application, systray icon, and msgboxes). I have checked the Allow Desktop interaction checkbox but still cant see the GUI. I know that windows service interaction with a GUI is not recommended but my company requires it to be as such. Any help on how to get the service up and running on windows server would be greatly appreciated.
