DirectX...not sure where to ask this

I'm not sure what forum this goes in, but I'd like to try working with DirectX for playing audio, and I can't figure out what I need to do to add a reference to use it or what I need to do. What files do I need? I've downloaded the DirectX 9 SDK. Thanks.

I haven't watched this but it sounds like something you should at least take a look at:

I found them by searching MSDN for "managed directx" (without quotes).

Thanks. Those links were interesting, but the video one only showed a small amount, and it was about graphics. The other link didn't really talk about how to use DirectX. I do appreciate your help though.

Well the second one shows you what references you need, which was your original question. I'm sure if you did the same search on MSDN you'd find other info. Here's a link to a DirectX 9 VB.NET tutorial, although I'm not sure how much it contains so far. Also, I just Googled for "managed directx tutorial" and got a number of hits.
