Difference of databases

Hi friends
We have used different databases like mysql,sql server and oracle but what is the main difference between them.Different users use different databases.
Any idea?

It all depends what you have acces to, I think the major difference is $price.
Also i know sql express has a 4 gig limit...things like that, and maybe security features, how they are administered and maintained will probably differ.
