Is there anyway to detect a user's periphials when they're visiting my website?
I was thinking like a plug-in or something, where the user would have to accept the plug-in's installation (so they would know what's going on, it's not a sneaky thing).
I know there are plug-ins that can view your hard drive file structure (like the photo uploader add-in from places like Wal-Mart), and I was hoping for something similar, but with plugged in periphials. I'm assuming these plug-ins are created in Java, and I'd go that route if I have to, but I'm much more comfortable in VB.NET and C#.net.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
