Date Format with Mailmerge from Access to Word 2013

Am using a database with Access for Holiday bookings -

MailMerge inserts the date of the booking in Word 2013 document

Sadly I can't change it from American Date to UK Date. In Access, the date is in UK format

Any ideas ?!
