Question datagridview default values?

hi evry1,
i m using a datagridview in vb.net in which i want 2 display some default values for particular rows based on some options user selected previously...
i dont knw which event should i used so tht whenevr a new row is to be inserted default value for all concerned cells should be generated automatically..
ryt nw i m able to generate default values only when i double click on a paticular cell using cell validating event...
i want defalut values on insertion of new row and not by double clicking on cells..
