customising datetimepicker

hey guys

just wondering if anyone knows of a way to customise the datetimepicker in such a way that when you click it to select a date, rather than showing a calendar, it can just show a list of years or a list of months?

any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Such devices are called "ComboBoxes" (no, the dropdown layout and behaviour is fixed - seek a third party component)
