Question Custom Install Program

Hello,

I'm creating an instal program for an addon for a program and I so far have it so it makes sure the program is installed on the PC. Now I'm onto the actual installing part of the app and I've come to a complete stand still. I have all the steps done and I want to so that when the user clicks on a button a dialog box with a progress bar (Already made) come up and for the addon to be installed and the progress bar show it's progress.

Help really appreciated.

I decided to rethink the App and I thought about making it self-extracting EXE. Would that be a better option. Is it as secure as using an installer?

Another option for you is to make a setup & deployment project in visual studio.
