Hi, i am currently building an application to replace an outdated system. My problem is that the users have a customer database of about 5000 records in access and i will be using SQL.

Is there a way of converting an access 2003 table to sql becuase i dont want to spend the next few months entering 5000 records. Using access is not an option becuase i am using SQL with reporting services to produce query driven printouts.

Can anyone point me at a utility to do this.

Thanks in advance for help

access can connect to an SQL server db and squirt the data across quite easily.. as a one time op, that's fine. Also as Johyn points out, there exists a wizard that makes a SQLServer DB out of an Access one

.

do DTS.

which is data transformation Services.
for more info try google.

or you can use data conversion softwares...try google for same.
