Controls on .aspx page disappearing during runtime...

Hi.

I've got some web forms for a project that I've been working on. I am using the formview templates for my pages. I placed all the controls, bound them to my SQL tables, saved them, and connected them to the Mainmenu web page. But when I selected the pages, all I get is the stuff that was on the Master Page. Everything else is gone... The only thing that is set invisble is a button that is not used when the particular record is in View Mode, any other time, its' visible.

The only other thing I've noticed is the discrepency between the source files generated during runtime....

Another person on these forumns thought it was a bug in Visual Studio, but I'm hoping it's something I've missed. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatfully appreciated....

Showing the HTML source won't really tell us the problem. It would be better to post the source code (the ASP.NET code/markup) instead.

The HTML source for the working page when rendered will be an empty page. How can you know that it is working???

The reason I listed the HTML is they were the only places I saw a radical difference in what I thought should have been processed. My bad... I'm just trying to figure out why it happened. It makes you crazy to get the form just the way you want it... and then .... poof!

Believe it or not... when I went back to the default LinkButtons that the templates created, the errors went away. Apparently when I added the Button contol to the template to get the same function with a better look, for some reason it disconnected from the connections created by the SQLDataSource controls. Again, when I went back to the LinkButtons, my connection returned. What I also noticed, was if the record you're calling from the SELECT statement isn't in the table, the form will fire without the controls, because when I faked the record, it fired the template with all the controls....

Don't ask me why it does this... I have no clue.... because it makes no sense....
