compare excel files highlight the differences

i have been asked to develop a app that compares files and highlight the difference.
i no there is a lot of apps out there that do this but they want me to develop one

anyone have any ideas the best way to do this
i have a bit done where i have 2 text boxes it reads the files and a compares button that compares the size of the file that works and is grand.

but how would i go about highlighting the difference between the files

no none at all.
can it be done through vb.net

Yes, it can be done easily.. Just research how to get/set cell values in excel through vb.net.

It's as simple as looping and comparing after that.
