Collaborating on a Requirements doc among a team?

At my company we have several developers all of which will participate in the features requirement specifications. How does your team collaborate in producing a features requirements list? I don't know that passing around a word document is preferred, I haven't really investigated SharePoint. What do you suggest?
 
We normally get people in a room together, knock heads and tell them their ideas are stupid then go with the lead developers notions anyways :)

Features requirements for us, are normally done by the client or whomever writes the business case. It's then down to the developers to say what is and isnt good/doable/worthwhile. You can approach the planning with the same notions as the the development though - your source code is a word docuemnt, under version control.. check it out, have a read, use email to notify of updates. MSN messenger with saved logs can be useful too if people are spread out
