clickthrough in VB.net/ASP.net

hello everyone
i have realized a module dotnetnuke in vb.net to send newsletters to a list of users.
in the text of the email i would insert a link click throught to increase a counter into my application to do statistics about pleasure of newsletters.
i think it's the same function of banners in the sites to earn money by clicks.
Someone can help me??

Look, Session object would be not happiest solution in this way. Mostly cuz you never know how much it will take to get feedback from the users who have received the email so i guess it would be best if you write down a value into DB (text file would be just fine/enough) then when user click the link return the existing value and increase for one ..finally put the new value into the DB.

but i dont understand how i can do this by visual basic.net or asp.net 2.0
must i use a libraries or what??

say you have decided to go with Text file ... well, in that case you should use stream reader/writer objects in order to accomplish that. Btw, it doesn't matter is that asp.net or windows app as the way is pretty same.
