Question class declaration with (of anotherClas)

I don't really know if this is considered generic or not but i come across class declarations such as Public Class Motors(of boat) and really don't understand all of what is going on with this. We also have classes that inherit this type of declaration. I have read quite a bit about generics but what I have read does not clear it up for me. Anyone know of some good reading to help me understand this. Thanks very much.
