Tip Change the theme of Visual Studio 2010 Express

In Visual Studio 2010 Express installed terrible dark theme, which you can not change the standard means. For Visual Studio 2010 Pro and above there Theme Editor, and Express versions for nothing of the sort suggested.
To change the theme VS 2010 Express for lighter suggest archive with three different skins. You need to add information to the registry, and then VS theme background will change.

Wow. Thanks for that. With slight modification to registry position works for VC++ 2010Express as well. Would be interested in how you worked it out and made the binary value.

Yeah thanks, really cool. Works with VC# 2010 Express too. Although when I attempted to just change the .reg file to have VCSExpress rather than VBExpress it would no longer run. The error message states "Cannot import..." The file is not a registry script". I used TextPad, so I don't know what went wrong. However, I was able to make the change manually and VS is just so much better. I hated that gloomy dark blue look.
