Question ce.net and compact framework

Does anyone know if you can use the regular .net framework on a ce.net thin client or do you have to use the compact framework. I have a small desktop app that was built in vb and wanted to know if I could run it on a ce.net machine before I buy it.

As far as I know you need CF.Net applications for it.
