As an Application Developer Lead, you will support the development and management of the investment initiatives and the ongoing enhancement of the Transfer Agency's applications. Expectations include significant application development experience, strong project planning, proven background in managing client requirements & expectations, knowledge of transfer agency or related business and a good understanding of risk management & application security. As part of the JPMC Technology Group, ensure project objectives are in support of audit and information risk policies. Create & execute on project plans using the JPMC WSS Project Development Methodology. Define purpose, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success. Manage the project estimating activity. Prioritize and manage development and implementation of projects/enhancements, oversee installations and release management including the final production acceptance review and signoff. Lead the post-implementation review evaluating project results, including client satisfaction. Effectively collaborate with the Business Analyst, Testing, Product and Infrastructure partners to deliver a high quality product to our business. Partner with Production Support to resolve production issues, monitoring and capacity management. Champion initiatives and implement solutions to reduce baseline application costs. The role requires strong people management and communication skills to ensure quality deliveries from our distributed development teams. Conduct performance reviews, appraisals and personal development planning for each team member. Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues.


Qualifications
10+ years of Application Development Experience
Strong technical knowledge with 5 to 7 years experience in Microsoft .NET framework, C# and ASP.NET coding
5 to 7 years of object oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced Microsoft patterns and practices
5 to 7 years of Oracle/SQL Server application development and very strong database design skills
3 to 5 years of Crystal Reporting and ETL tools experience
2 to 3 years of developing applications with Web 2.0 technologies
Experience with Infragistics/Silverlight/Adobe Flash/ASP.NET AJAX toolkits
Proven experience in building scalable and robust applications
Strong infrastructure knowledge including windows servers, web servers, firewalls, load balancers etc.,
Should be a hands on Agile practitioner
Experience with TFS framework and Task management tools
Experience with Sharepoint / Portal technologies is a plus
Minimum 7 years of combined business, project management, team leadership and IT experience required
Ability to develop strong internal and external client relationships
Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and mentoring skills
Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions and industries
Project Management Certification, Six Sigma, CMM a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience; Advanced degree preferred.
