Application Network Authorization

I'm kind of new to VB.net, but I've managed to create a program I wish to check for authorized users when initiated, from a list of computer names on my php admin server, is this an especially hard task? Any advice would be appreciated.

its not that much hard , you need to connect to your Server by Web browser object , or socket
after that u have to retrieve some users & comparing them with your usernames.
that's all , if you have some problems in coding , just notice which part is obscure ?

Can you give me some example code of how this is achieved? please
