I'm currently setting up TortoiseSVN 1.6.6 on my WinXP system here at work and since I use VS2005 and VS2008 regularly here I'm considering installing AnkhSVN 2.1.7444 to make things easier as at my other job I use VSS (Visual Source Safe) which integrates into VS2003, VS2005 and VS2008 and works very nicely.

So for those of you who have used AnkhSVN 2.1.7444 and VS2005/2008 what's your opinion?

We use Tortoise and Ankh both at work. We also used to use VSS and I prefer to do things through VS if possible, but having Tortoise is useful for things you can't do in the IDE. The only time I've ever had an issue with Ankh is when I've added a file, renamed it, then added another file with the original name. That seemed to cause confusion, although I'm not suer whether it was Ankh or Subversion itself that had the issue. Now I always commit before renaming a file I've just added and also before adding a new file that has the same name as a file I've just renamed. Haven't had any other issues.
