Access another form in a different project in the same solutions

hi all, i have tried googling this and cant find a way to do this, i hav 2 projects in the same solutions, i am trying to write a bit for Solution1_Project1_Form1 to open a windowsForm in Solution1_Project2_Form2. how can i do this?
il give diffrent examples of what im looking to achinve incase someone has a better way of achiving what im looking to do.

Start main application & View 2nd application FROM within the main application.

Start the 2nd application WITHOUT using the main application.

both applications need to read and write to a database, i dont think this makes a big diferance but thought i would mention it

Can you not just add a reference to Project2 from Project1 and then just.. Dim frm as New Form2 ..?
To simply start the second application you should be able to just run project 2.

thanks, its funny the way you answered the question makes it sound so simple, i have pretty much self taught myself so ALOT i still dont know lol only refs i have used are interop for office.
