What's 3gb? The VS 2008 express editions ISO (with MSDN Express and SQL server express) is less than 1GB

Like I said, it's a DVD, you burn it to disc with the recording software you use with your DVDR drive.

Yes, as I told you before ISO Images can also be extracted directly to a file location by many DVD-R utilities. For example follow the instructions on the download page.
